Description
Fusidic acid – Fusidic acid is an antibiotic. Fusidic acid basically helps in the treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo and infected dermatitis. This antibiotic works by stopping the growth of the germs causing the infection. Also, this helps to reduce the symptoms of the infection by preventing the additional growth of the causative microorganisms. It may also be used to treat infections in cuts or wounds on your skin.
How to Use:
A small amount of cream or ointment should be applied to the affected area three or fourfold daily. If covering the wound or injury with gauze dressing less frequent application (once or twice daily) could also be sufficient. Any ointment left over at the top of treatment should be rejected. It’s essential to use fusidic acid only as directed by your doctor as random use can cause the event of bacterial resistance. Don’t use the cream for longer than 10 days.
